MASALA ZONE RESTAURANT CAMDEN
PARKWAY, LONDON NW1

The restaurant has been created in the ground floor of a prominent old public house building on the corner of two main streets in Camden. Originally built in 1924 as the Camden Store and in the 1970’s—80’s altered as the Rat & Parrot. The ground floor has been raised to provide one level restaurant seating space with large windows to Parkway and Arlington Road.
The kitchen, toilets, party room and back of house spaces are located in the basement accessed by a straight stair from the ground. The mechanical plant has been installed at second floor level screened at the rear with a false mansard structure.
The restaurant interior is a single space with plain red linoleum floor, dark ceiling and plain walls decorated with old posters from India and beaded lights have been imported from Kuala Lumpur.
